Here are our top tips for accessing Support Coordination.

1. Get a pre-planner.

We are huge fans of the NDIA and NDIS and we see firsthand the incredible role they play in changing lives for the better. Yet the processes and procedures to access this assistance can be overwhelming to say the least (you’ve been there, you know what we’re talking about!). Support Coordination is like the bridge between NDIS and you. We’re kind of like the Siri or Alexa of the disability sector: ‘Hey OnSide…’ When you get an allocation of Support Coordination in your plan, you have access to experts in the space, here to make sense of everything for you and make the most of your NDIS funds.

2. Get NDIS-ready.

Once you have decided to access pre-planning, contact OnSide to prepare your NDIS application. This service is offered in a few different formats to ensure that wherever you’re at, the process works for you. Typically we will meet at a location of your choice (your home or a local cafe) for about 45 minutes. You’ll be given a handy OnSide workbook that details the questions you’ll be asked by the NDIA so nothing is unexpected. Think of this time as a very casual mini-workshop.

3. Apply to NDIS with confidence.

You and your friendly Support Coordinator have done the work. Choosing to have a pre-planning meeting with OnSide means you’ll cruise into your NDIS planning meeting confident and equipped with everything you need. You will be empowered with all the relevant documentation and forms you need and ready to request access to the right support to achieve your goals. You will have tips to develop your NDIS plan to meet your individual needs and will be informed with the relevant and up-to-date information about the NDIS and prepared for what NDIS might ask you in the meeting.
